I don't think that the weather should be removed,but rather Improved. First off,they need to make weather less likely to activate,because currently the weather activates WAY too much. Second off,the rain's sound should be majorly changed to be nicer,a softer pitch,and more natural,because the current rain sound sounds like a hurricane is hitting metal and glass. Maybe the current rain sound should only play during the thunderstorms only. And maybe actual lighting for thunderstorms should be added to have a physical difference over regular rain,also when lightning appears,the sky should flash white for a second. Also rain should hydrate farmland that's nowhere near water(because technically rain is water),rain should also fill cauldrons(and an empty bucket used on a full cauldron should give you a water bucket),rain should speed plant spread rate(not sure if it's in PoC,but at least in MineCraft over an overly huge amount of time,grasses,ferns,and flowers will actually spread,and duplicate,in PoC the rain should help speed that rate),and rain should help speed crop growth,and maybe certain future animals and monsters can be more likely to be found in or exclusively found during rain. Also the rain particle texture should be changed to look more like PoC's water.
also weather should be only activated on every certain biome at a time apposed to the whole server having weather at the same time/the weather should depend on biome,not on the whole server. for example every jungle can rain at a point,but all plains won't rain at that point and if they do rain at the same time as a different biome type,it'll be pure coincidence,making weather more regional,and with this mechanic,certain Biomes can be more or less likely to activate weather for example,jungles and tropical biomes will be more likely to activate weather because they are warm,humid,very oftenly hydrated/receive rainfall places,and deserts and ice spikes biomes will be drastically less likely(but will be possible) to activate weather because they are dry places that are rarely hydrated/receive rainfall,but other places like forests,plains,swamps,savannahs,tiagas,mountains, tundras,oceans,etc.,will have varied weather rates and types of weather based on humidity and climate.
